Crafting enthusiasts will be gathering in the town of Almonte this spring for a celebration of all things handmade. The annual Harvest Craft Show will take place on May 5 and feature dozens of vendors displaying their eclectic collections of items that travellers can take home for unique souvenirs.
Located only a few kilometres outside of Canada's capital city, a trip to the event would be ideal for those enjoying tours of Ottawa. For a small entrance fee, patrons will be granted access to purchase items from different artists that have journeyed from throughout Canada to take part in the exclusive sales. Early birds who attend may receive special gift bags and have first pick of the items offered.
The array of goods presented at the fair will be unique and interesting. For instance, guests may pick up some homemade sea salt French macarons from Desserts by Katrina, or try on a stained glass necklace from PR Design.
Travellers who miss the show in May should check back on the Harvest Show's website, as they often host various events throughout the year, such as a Christmas in July craft show.
