It's no secret that there are plenty of ways to enjoy the chilly weather during tours of Ottawa, but one upcoming event offers visitors a chance to see Ottawa's other "cool side." The Downtown Rideau CHILL FACTOR festival will offer a number of events showcasing high fashion, theatre, film, cuisine and other culture in the city from February 1-17.
Taking place at a number of hip venues in Ottawa's Fashion, Arts & Theatre District, this festival offers unique, fun events for all members of the family. Travel to Ontario during this festival could include film screenings, art exhibits, historic tours and music dance parties.
Highlights of the event include a screening of "Get iced," a film by 15 Ottawa filmmakers, as well as "Borealis Northern Lights" live theatre at Arts Court Theatre. There will also be exhibits such as the "On the Rocks" party and visual art exhibit at the Ottawa Art Gallery, as well as a digital media outdoor projection and mobile audio tour.
Although the festival shows off the best of Ottawa's arts and culture, it will also include comedy and children's crafts, plus a Crimes & Punishment Tour at the historic Ottawa Jail that history buffs are sure to love.
