Those who plan on travelling to Ottawa this week likely have a long list of things they want to do. Some may want to think about purchasing tickets for an Evening with Culinarian Stars so they can add this event to their list. Students from the Algonquin College who are in their fourth semester will be preparing a seven-course meal for those who attend, according to the Ottawa Citizen.
These students are preparing quite the meal for those who who plan on attending, and tickets are going quickly, so individuals may want to snatch them up before they are gone.
Not only are participants able to enjoy a delicious meal by chefs who could soon be entering the culinary field, they will also be donating to a good cause, the media outlet reports. The tickets for the event are $100 and individuals are given a $25 tax receipt. Some of the proceeds will go to ALS Canada, an organization that aims to spread awareness of ALS, which is also known as Lou Gehrig's disease. ALS is a neuromuscular disease in which nerve cells die and leave voluntary muscles paralyzed.
