Sometimes travellers want to bypass the large crowds and attend a more intimate performance of live music. This January 28th, locals and guests to Canada’s capital city can head to the Galerie SAW Gallery for a show performed by talented musician Rae Spoon.
Spoon’s website says that he has been touring internationally for the past decade, sharing his musical prowess and unique ability to convey emotion in his songs. Recently, Spoon released his sixth studio album, titled I Can’t Keep All Our Secrets, some of the tunes from which will be performed at the upcoming Ottawa show. Ottawa is one of the stops on his Canadian tour, with other cities on the list including Toronto, Montreal and Guelph.
This concert will take place at the gallery’s adjoining venue called Club SAW. The venue’s website says that they feature more than 1,000 performance artists a year, including film screenings, concerts, book launches and panel discussions. The space holds only 150 people, so shows are sure to be personal and unforgettable for travellers who are looking to try a unique experience in Ottawa this winter.
