There is an exciting event happening in Canada's capital city that may be a great thing to do with those who are fans of ferrets. These domesticated mammals can make enjoyable pets and have been a part of homes across the globe for generations.
Travellers who have a ferret of their own or would like to learn more about adopting these furry creatures can attend FerretFest, hosted by the Ferret Rescue Society of Ottawa and Area.
On March 24th at the Tom Brown Arena, ferret lovers from all over will gather in support of awareness, fun and more. Guests of all ages will be able to participate in ferret-themed activities, and proceeds will go toward adoption fees, rehabilitation and rescue. There will be a silent auction, a meet and greet area with plenty of animals to play with and an array of products for sale from local vendors.
Ferrets can be just as ideal to have for pets as dogs or cats, so travellers taking tours of Ottawa this March may wish to make time for FerretFest on their holiday.
