The Shenkman Arts Centre in Canada's capital is often a hub of activity, featuring live performances, art installations and other creative pursuits. Travellers who like to experience local culture while on holiday should make plans to head to this venue and see the exhibit in the Trinity Gallery.
From July 29 to August 28, works by Wendy Feldberg will be on display. Called "Forest Floor," this exhibit features a collection of 10 eco-prints created by Feldberg, which incorporates natural materials and earthy colors akin to the artist's unique style. She often uses things like leaves, seeds and sticks to make eerie silhouettes of nature in symmetrical formations. Some of the plants seen in her work include sweet gum, Japanese maple, ginkgo and marigold. The idea Feldberg attempts to portray is how nature can change over time and present a sense of fragility and growth in its evolution and age.
While at the arts centre, visitors can also stop by the other five galleries to see some other amazing works of art, such as pottery, paintings and photography.
