The RBC Royal Bank Bluesfest has become a staple of the Ottawa summer events, as some of the biggest names in rock, pop, blues and alternative grace the stages each year. This year's Bluesfest will be held at the LeBreton Flats Park in Ottawa from July 4 through the 14, located near the Parliament Buildings and Canadian War Museum on Wellington Street.
There will be roughly 10 performers each day throughout the event, while big acts such as Grand Funk Railroad and Jimmy Eat World will start the festival on July 4. Newer bands such as The Joy Formidable and She and Him will perform throughout the festival, accompanied by massive acts including Weezer, Bjork, B.B. King, Los Lobos and Los Lonely Boys.
Music isn't the only attraction at the 14th annual Bluesfest, as patrons will be able to participate in auctions, guitar raffles and much more. Fans of the bands will have an opportunity to meet the stars at the autograph tent as well.
Day passes are available to interested parties, as are VIP tickets and full-festival wristbands. Groups of 10 or more can get deals on ticket prices, while the LeBreton Flats neighbourhood is sure to thrill all travellers.
