Neighbourhoods

Neighbourhoods

One of the best ways to experience Ottawa is by visiting its many distinctive neighbourhoods. And it couldn’t be easier. Whether you’re on foot or riding a bicycle — taking in Ottawa’s scenic urban surrounds that include gorgeous views of the Rideau Canal — on public transit, or in your car, you’re always minutes from one of Ottawa’s vibrant and diverse neighbourhoods, with each offering a new experience.

The food and shopping woven into the historic ByWard Market district or Downtown Rideau is very different from that of Chinatown (Somerset Street West), Bank Street, Somerset Village and Preston Street/Little Italy; the vibe and atmosphere of Sparks Street, and Wellington West and Westboro Village all differ greatly from Beechwood Village, the Glebe and Quartier Vanier.

Discover the unique ambiance of each.
